What we touch, touches us.
Materials speak a language and enrich our surroundings with meaning. In the intermingling of the virtual and the physical world, there is an intensified desire for tangible materiality. The touching of surfaces and materials always also makes an imprint on the self. Therefore, the active exploration of surfaces permanently updates our body scheme: In the active exploration of surfaces and materials we also perceive ourselves in an intensified way and thereby continuously construct ourselves. While the semiotics of substances and surfaces speak to us permanently in their ambiguity, it is foremost the haptic experience we get high on.
